OSU President Gordon Gee Visited the Fairfield County's Summer 4-H Project Judging. Since Fairfield County's fair is in October, the still projects get judged in July to be able to qualify for the Ohio State Fair Competition. As Fairfield County's fair queen, I was fortunate enough to get to greet President Gee upon his arrival to the OSU extension office in Fairfield County. President Gee is one of the most personable people I have ever met! I showed him the area where the kids were waiting to have their projects judged, and he gleefully wondered around the room to talk to kids about their projects. President Gee referred to me as, "Queen" throughout his visit. It was a wonderful experience that the president of the University, through which the 4-H program is run and supported, was able to spend time visiting Fairfield County!
