After traveling 1,959 miles to fairs already, this fair marked my tenth visit!!!
The show arena was packed and the livestock auction was taking place on the last day of the Lawrence County Fair, all the way down by the Ohio River. I could tell by the sparseness of the rest of the fairgrounds that practically everyone was at the auction, either selling, buying, or watching the livestock. It is rare that a fair has almost all of the livestock in a single barn, but the Lawrence County Fair does! All of the large livestock is in a single barn and the small livestock is in another barn. The other big event, besides the auction, was the horse pulls located on the track in front of the grandstand. I really enjoyed meeting the fair queen and fair princess, too!
